  • Program and Training Cancellation, Transfer, & Refund Policy - unless otherwise specified by an individual program
    *Requests for refunds must be received in writing no later than 2 weeks prior to the event. Refunds are subject to a 25% processing charge. If a program is canceled by GSHNC, a complete refund will be given.
    *If you are unable to attend the date of the event you registered for, you can transfer to a future date of the same event. Requests for transfers must be received in writing no later than one week before the date of the event. Registrations can be transferred once, and thereafter cannot be transferred or canceled for a refund.

    *Cancellation decisions will be made two weeks prior to each event - events that have not met their minimum number of registrations by two weeks prior to the event WILL BE CANCELED. When in doubt, please register before this two-week deadline. When you click the 'Register Now' button, you will be able to see the Final registration deadline for the event, but events will be canceled before that Final deadline if they do not reach their minimum number of registrations two weeks prior.
  • To Use Buzz Bucks (formerly known as Cookie Dough or Nut Bucks) or Gift Cards
    Buzz Bucks and GSHNC Council Gift Cards can now be used online to pay for program, property, and camp registrations! Simply select the 'gift card' option at checkout and fill in the gift card number to apply it to your order.
     
  • Is there Financial Assistance available for programs?
    *Financial assistance is potentially available for all GSHNC programs and trainings. Girls and registered adults can apply for FA for one event per Girl Scout year. Financial assistance requests should be submitted at least one month in advance of the program date. You can find applications on the Forms page of our website, under the 'Financial Assistance' drop-down menu.

  • Individual Participation 
    Girls do not need to be in a Troop to attend most programs! It will be noted in the event description if an attending adult is required, and Troops should sign up all in one order if they are planning to attend together, but if your Girl Scout would like to go to an event the rest of her Troop is not attending, she is more than welcome.
     
  • Waitlists and Attendance Caps
    *Waitlists are available for some programs. If you have a waitlist spot, it will show up as Attendee's Name (waitlisted) on the checkout screen, and you will not have to pay for their spot in the program. Please complete your registration and press the 'Complete Order' button to be placed on the waitlist. If a space opens up, you will be automatically emailed a notification and a link to pay your program fee.

    *If any category of participants (eg. 'Girl' or 'Adult') will not allow you to increase the number of participants, that means that category is FULL for this event. Please contact the Council office at 704-731-6500 or customercare@hngirlscouts.org to inquire about the possibility of being added to the event.
